3 Great Useful Chrome Extensions – to simplify daily life

For those who know me well it is not a secret that I am always looking for new utilities around the web to simplify every little thing I can. It means i am fond of any kind of apps and browser extensions that easily can create magic with a simple *click*.

Bellow you can find three of my favorite and useful Chrome extensions not only for designers but also for everyone who is a digital lover as I am.

ColorZilla
This extension is an advanced eyedropper, Color Picker, Gradient Generator and other colorful goodies at the same time.
It is one of the most popular Firefox developer extensions.

With this extension you can get a color reading from any point in your browser, you just have to quickly adjust the color and paste it into another program as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and more.

some great features I love:
✓ Eyedropper – get the color of any pixel on the page
✓ Ultimate CSS Gradient Generator
✓ Webpage Color Analyzer – get a color palette for any site
✓ Color History of recently picked colors
✓ Auto copy picked colors to clipboard
✓ Keyboard shortcuts
✓ Single-click to start color picking (currently only on Windows) ✓ Pick colors from Flash objects
✓ Pick colors at any zoom level

WhatFont
This one is definitely the easiest way to identify fonts on web pages.
With this extension we are able to inspect web fonts by just hovering on them. It is that simple and elegant as I like this little treasures on the web. Plus it also detects the services used for serving the web fonts. Supports Typekit and Google Font API.

TransOver
This chrome extension has been one of the greatest ones I found a few years ago. It really is a life saver every time I land on a foreign website page. It is damn useful when I have no idea in which language a certain article is written in. Can you imagine how far away you can go and read different stuff?!

With TransOver we can hover, click or select to translate (with text-to-speech). It is obviously also a regular Translator for sentences or it can just translate a single word (or text selection) from any language to the language of your choice by pointing or clicking at it.

Some great features you can enable in options:

✓ text-to-speech
✓ reverse translate: from your own language to the language of your choice
✓ type and translate in a popup
✓ copy translation to clipboard
