Since I was a teenager I remember dreaming about Italy. There was something mystical in those pictures I saw on the internet or on travel guides displayed in bookshops everywhere. I bet that all of us kinda of had or still have the dream to visit that part of our planet that is shaped like a boot.

The first time I went there I didn’t start by visiting one or two places as a normal person. No, I visited five different towns by the Amalfi coast during seven days. That trip was like a dream l and better than any picture I saw or I even took by myself. Afterwards, I was so tired that that it took me almost a week to recover from that week’s traveling.

Positano was actually the fourth place we visited but I’ll write about all of other beautiful towns in future posts. I will show you some pictures so you can also dream and get inspired even if you have already been there. If not, at the end of the post I also give you a few tips about good places to eat and directions on how to get there.In my opinion Positano is a small town so a day or two should be enough to visit it. Of course you can stay longer specially if the sun is shining and you can go to the beach to welcome those sun rays and tan your body. There are lots of cafes, shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, I think it is easy to get tired of the town because it became too touristic.

The shops are not traditional. They don’t sell many local goods or specialities and most of them sell clothes. Yes, clothes, and regular clothes that you would find anywhere in the world. I really felt disappointed about this. There are always pros and cons in everything, right? Still, it is a magical place and one of the most beautiful towns that I’ve ever been to! It’s like you look around and you can’t believe that it’s real.

This is a marvelous trip to do as a couple because I consider it a romantic place. I went there with my boyfriend and those views were so unforgettable. So just let go and get yourself lost in the old corners and cobbled streets to discover the authentic Positano. Get ready to climb and climb!

How to get there: we took a bus from the town of Amalfi. You can also rent a car. If you usually get sick on the road, prepare ahead and take something for car sickness. There are lots of curves on the road along the coast.

To have lunch: La Brezza – next to the beach. This is a great spot and not so expensive. It sells fresh salads, sandwiches and snacks and also importantly it has a wifi hotspot.

To have dinner: Lo Guarracino restaurant – At night this is a special place: The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, while having a great seafood dinner, it is just something else. So just try to get a spot on the balcony close to the sea and enjoy!.

Desde a minha adolescência que me de sonhar com Itália. Havia magia nas fotos que via pela internet ou em guias de viagens em livrarias por todo o lado. Aposto que todos nós já tivemos ou ainda temos o sonho (mesmo que pouco) de visitar aquela parte do nosso planeta com a forma de uma bota no mapa.

A primeira vez que fui lá, não comecei por visitar um ou dois lugares como uma pessoa normal. Não. visitei 5 cidades diferentes pela costa Amalfitana durante 7 dias. A viagem foi mágica e melhor do que qualquer fotografia, até mesmo as que eu tirei jamais conseguem transmitir tudo o que vi. Estava tão cansada depois desta viagem de uma semana que demorei quase outra semana para recuperar.

Positano foi na verdade a quarta cidade que visitei, mas vou escrever sobre todas elas em futuros posts. Vou mostrar aqui algumas fotos para que possam também sonhar e inspirar-se mesmo que já tenham estado lá. Se não estiveram, no final do post estão algumas dicas sobre onde comer e ficar.

Na minha opinião Positano é uma cidade pequena, penso que um dia ou dois são suficientes para visitar tudo. Claro que dá para ficar muito mais tempo, se o tempo lhes permitir bronzear e receber raios de sol na praia. Há muitos cafés, lojas e restaurantes. Infelizmente, penso que é fácil ficar farto de passear na cidade porque se tornou demasiado turística.

As lojas não são tradicionais, não vendem muitos produtos tradicionais e souvenirs e a maioria delas é de roupas. Sim, roupas que podemos encontrar em todo o lado do mundo. Confesso que fiquei muito desiludida com este ponto. Mas há sempre prós e contras em todos os lugares, certo? Ainda assim, é um lugar mágico e um dos mais bonitos em que já estive! É como se estivesse a olhar à minha volta enquanto passeava e não conseguia acreditar que estava ali.
Esta é uma viagem maravilhosa para fazer a dois por considerá-la muito romântica. Fui com o meu namorado e aquelas vistas serão inesquecíveis. Tentem encontrar e perder-se nos cantos antigos e ruas para descobrir a autêntica Positano. Preparem-se para subir e subir!

Como chegar lá: apanhámos um autocarro desde a cidade de Amalfi. Outra opção é alugar um carro. Apenas há que ter em atenção se tem facilidade em enjoar enquanto se anda de carro/autocarro, será melhor tomar algo antes. Há muitas curvas e contracurvas na estrada ao longo da costa.

Almoçar: La Brezza – ao lado da praia é um óptimo sítio para relaxar e não é caro.

Jantar : Lo Guarracino restaurante – como quase todos os restaurantes, é mágico durante a noite enquanto se podem ouvir as ondas a rebentar. Tentem um lugar com vista para a praia.
