Cazuza, was a Brazilian man who said wise words. An artist, a life lover, surrounded by love affairs. He was the singer of the rock group “Barão Vermelho”.  But unfortunately he had a short and tragic life. The world lost the artist in 1990 when he died with HIV, when the human immunodeficiency virus was a fatality for lots of people during those times.

“I am Arian. And an Arian has no excuses, he enters, he breaks the door. I was never afraid to show me. You can stay hidden at home, protected by walls. But you’re alive, and that life is to be shown. This is my show. Only those who show themselves can find themselves. Even if you get lost on the way.”

He still composed a few songs during his worse time fighting against the disease – during the time when lots of people died before of the introduction of a potent anti retroviral drug. It is worth exploring and to know a little more about this singer, songwriter and poet. There is a movie about his life – Cazuza – from 2004 directed by Walter Carvalho and Sandra Werneck – with Daniel de Oliveira as Cazuza.
