I must confess I was unaware of the dramatic life of Édith Piaf. Of course I knew her deep voice and a little bit more about the singer. And no doubt I admired one song or another. But all the the fascination I have now – and more than never – to this mademoiselle grew more and more after I saw the biographic movie “La Vie En Rose”.

The fantastic interpretation of Marion Cotillard hold me in the movie story from the first minute until the end. Even tho this is a long movie. Usually I am a bit cold and no so emotional while watching movies. It is like I really have to tinker inside to shed a tear. But this story moved me in every way, I almost suffered with her and I almost felt her happiness in her joys.

Confesso que desconhecia a vida dramática de Édith Piaf. Conhecia-lhe a voz sofrida e pouco mais. Admirava uma ou outra canção. Mas a admiração por esta mademoiselle cresceu a pique e num flash, quando vi o filme biográfico, “La vie en Rose“.

A interpretação fantástica de Marion Cotillard, colou-me à história do início ao fim. Normalmente sou um pouco fria nestas coisas dos filmes. Diria que tTem mesmo que mexer muito cá dentro para soltar uma lágrima. Mas esta história mexeu comigo de todas as formas, quase sofri com ela e quase lhe senti a felicidade nas suas alegrias.

Criada pela sua avó em um bordel, ela foi descoberta enquanto cantava na esquina a partir dos 19 anos de idade. Apesar de todo o sucesso, a vida de Piaf foi também uma tragédia.
